CAUKIN Studio operates educational construction workshops that provide invaluable opportunities to design through collaboration, learn through building and experience through immersion. CAUKIN’s workshops aren’t a holiday. They are demanding but immensely rewarding and are a great way to make your world a better place, whilst providing an opportunity for personal development and a stepping stone towards future careers.

See below for opportunities to participate in one of our virtual design workshops or physical construction courses in 2024!

live build construction workshops

On site construction workshops between 2 - 8 weeks, working alongside our clients, communities and team, on the construction of spaces that have a big impact. Learn how to build using a variety of techniques, tools and materials whilst working and, in some cases, living with the community.

This is for anybody who wants to gain experience of on site construction in a variety of different countries and contexts. You don’t need any prior experience or skill - just a desire to collaborate and get stuck in!

virtual design workshops

Virtual programmes between 0.5 - 2 days per week over 4 - 8 weeks, which follow 5 key themes, offering the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of industry professionals and develop your skills to increase future career opportunities!

This is for students, graduates and professionals of the built environment who want to gain experience and insight into different ways of practicing architecture. You will need a passion for social and community focused design processes, and an enthusiasm for exchanging knowledge.

Our workshops follow our curriculum which has been developed over the course of the last 8 years of developing and running our projects. Full details of our qualification scheme, learning objectives and teaching methods can be found in our curriculum.

SAMU VOSANIYAVU

“I normally do block laying, fencing, welding but I learned a lot from CAUKIN and I tried to share my skills too. When you combine the skills together, it makes a perfect project.”
