DESCRIPTION

This virtual workshop explores different ways of practicing architecture, with a focus on international development, community engagement and pathways into built environment careers. The virtual studio will be structured around seven key themes, with guest speakers each week who will give their perspective on the topic.

The key themes we will follow are: Identifying, Researching & Developing Projects, Architecture and International Development, Stakeholder and Community Engagement, Between Art and Architecture, Thinking Outside The Box, Designing with Children and Young People and Contextual Design Challenges.

The workshop is aimed at giving you a platform and opportunity to develop your knowledge of international development practice, pathways into the built environment and building a network of likeminded individuals and collaborators.

 

APPLICATION DEADLINE:

Applications will be reviewed periodically. Please apply early to increase your chance of acceptance. This workshop has a limited number of places.

DATES

  • Part Time [virtual]: Starting 8th May, every Wednesday 10am - 12pm or 6pm - 8pm (GMT). Up to 3 hours per week across 7 weeks.

  • Live participation is not compulsory but is recommended. Sessions are recorded and made available to you to watch back.
