Project Brief: The Canary Wharf Winter Lights festival transforms Canary Wharf with light installations, leaving the dark winter evenings aglow. The spectacle showcases light art and interactive installations by some of the most innovative artists across the globe working in light art today. You Exist, Here, Now was an art piece designed by Fandangoe Kid, which encourages you to pause and reflect, amidst the madness of our busy lives. Situated within the urban working environment, 'You exist' is a gentle provocation to encourage passersby, office workers, young people, families, individuals rushing to a meeting or the tube, to stop and see themselves and those around them. The piece invites anyone and everyone to practice self care in some of the most challenging times, reminding us to value ourselves and our place in the world as we try to navigate it each day.
